Common Material Working Temperature And Nominal Pressure Range Of Valve Body
- Jan 26, 2018 -

Valve body common materials working temperature and nominal pressure range:

1. Gray cast iron, suitable for working temperature between -15~+200℃, nominal pressure pn≤1.6mpa of low-pressure valves.

2. Black-hearted malleable iron, suitable for operating temperature between -15~+250℃, the nominal pressure Pn≤2.5mpa of the low-pressure valve.

3. Ductile iron, suitable for operating temperature between -30~+350℃, the nominal pressure Pn≤4.0mpa of the low-pressure valve.

4. Carbon steel (WCA, WCB, WCC), applicable to the operating temperature between the -29~+425℃ of medium and high pressure valves, of which 16Mn, 30Mn operating temperature between -40~+450℃, commonly used to replace ASTMA105.

5. Low-temperature carbon steel (LCB), suitable for operating temperature between the -46~+345℃ of low-temperature valve valve.

6. Alloy Steel (WC6, WC9), applicable to the operating temperature between the -29~+595℃ of the non-corrosive medium of high-temperature high-pressure valves, WC5, WC12 applicable to the operating temperature between the -29~+650℃ of corrosive medium high-temperature high-pressure valves.

7. Austenitic stainless steel, suitable for operating temperature between the -196~+600℃ of corrosive medium valve.

8. Monel alloy, mainly applicable to fluorine-containing medium valve.

9. Cast copper alloy, mainly applicable to the operating temperature between the -273~+200℃ oxygen pipe valve.

The above is listed in the valve body commonly used materials in large categories, specific materials in each category, there are many different grades, a variety of different grades and apply to a variety of different pressure levels. Therefore, in the selection of valve body materials, should be based on different uses and different pressure levels, to determine the appropriate conditions for the valve body materials.

In addition, the valve body material also has the titanium alloy (titanium valve), the aluminum alloy (aluminum valve), the plastic (plastic valve), the ceramic (ceramic valve) and so on.
